Exclamation Boxer trouble

I have a two month and one week old female boxer puppy, I also have a three year old chahuahua, male. The chahuahua keeps attacking the puppy when ever she gets close and just seems like he doesn't want her is the house at all. I am keeping the separated for now cause I fear that something bad will happen and make the puppy dog aggresive. Can anyone help me get them to like each other, I would hate to give the puppy away.

You need help, put them both on leashes and bring them close but not to where the biting or sassiness starts. This must be done gradulally. They are to only be together supervised and on leash at first, also take them away from the home and walk them, that will help them tolerate each other. Watch for other behaviors from your Chi, like resource guarding or food dominance, and make sure you DO NOT leave any food bowls out, as this can cause the problems I just mentioned...

marylou has it right. all that stuff would be good... anotherthing you can do is when the Chi start acting up take him away and put him in a time out, in a different room away from everyone, just for a couple min. that will work for alot of dogs because they see it as; if i am mean to the pup i have to be alone..... good luck.

This is probably why the dog is aggressive.

Make sure NO food is available, feed them separately and away from sight, when they are done, bowls come up. monitor toys as well, because most dogs that resource guard will just transfer the aggression from one object to another. You may want to seek a behaviorist to come to your home and observe this. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
