This poor dog is scheduled to be euthanized, she was assessed as "lack usefull purpose and pose a threat to public safety"

Watch the video and decide for yourself and if, like me, you don't agree, please sign the petition.

I have to say, that little dog is much better behaved than my Roddy considering the circumstances - he would have pulled that hand to bits and goodness knows what he would have done with the doll..........thank God Houpt wasn't assessing him!

OMG,Stephanie - that's horrible! I kept waiting for them to bring in the bad dog! When it was over, I noticed there were 3 more eval videos of Dusty so I thought maybe that's where he was so bad. I watched them all and only saw a friendly dog who never did anything that Buddy wouldn't do. Actually, Buddy wouldn't fair that well in that environment. Seriously - they would euthanize him.

I signed the petition, but I don't know if it will do any good. What an eye opener!

I signed it too--really makes a case for decisions made because of breed not because of the individual! I hope it does some good, she looks like a real sweetie!

so sad, to think that this stuff goes on.....poor girlie was so excited, she just wanted to play and get attention so badly! I hate to think how many excellent dogs don't get a chance because of crap like this...

what do they expect the dog to do?!?not once did i see that dog acting actually aggressive, a little scared of that creepy doll but its not like she full on attacked it! all that dog needs is a little love and patience and i bet she would be a great pet.
while i do not think that dog should be euthanized i do understand that especially over there in Monroe county(Detroit area) the shelters are extremely overwhelmed with dog most of which are pits. and that they really just dont have the space for dogs so they end up having to euthanize any dog that shows even a little bit of aggression to make room for the ones that have the best possible chance at getting adopted.. its a very sad but true fact
