If a Labradoodle is what the Obamas are after, look no further than the Canadian government.
A Canadian puppymill that has been busted up has resulted in the finding of a perfect Labradoodle, that the Canadian government is seeking to offer the Obamas as a welcome to the White House gift.
The puppymill, located in Winnipeg was raded last month, with 55 Labradoodles seized, including more than 20 puppies.
Shelter executive director Bill MacDonald thought immediately of the Obama family and their ongoing quest to find the perfect dog.
"When I learned that President Obama's first official state visit would be to Canada, and that he was looking for a puppy for his daughters, I thought a shelter puppy would make a great gift from our government," he said.
