I've noticed that Tie's jaw sometimes cracks when he has a big yawn. it doesn't appear to hurt him but i was just wondering if this is something i should get checked out.

With people I think of things like TMJ. Does he act like it hurts or does it lock? You could try things like massage, eating softer foods and no bone chewing. I have heard of surgery for it if it's really bad.

I have heard of "clicking jaws" in Boxer puppies. X-rays usually show that the ball and socket of the jaw havent formed correctly and will usually correct itself as they get bigger (though a few do require surgery). I read one breeder recommending giving the pup raw meaty bones as the open, shut, open, shut of the jaw will eventually wear down the socket so they don't click (or get stuck) as badly.

But the Tie man is a senior so probably age related if it is a new thing, maybe arthritis? Have you started him on any suppliments to help him through his golden years? Might want to look into some especially something for his joints. If he shows signs of pain I'd get to the vet ASAP

Well my jaw has clicked for decades (poor old fart! ) and I still chew on bones so I'm guessing he'll do okay too.

my dog grinds her teeth sometimes while she sleeps. it is probably just a symptom of either grinding or something, not much you can do for it I don't think.

I notice this happened a couple times to one of my boxers, Rex also. It doesn't seem to bother him. He is 2 years old now.
