Default Flea/Tick prevention

Now that I've got Lucky off of Frontline (not putting anything like this on her while she has the allergy) I was looking up natural methods of flea control (a lot of you guys that don't use chemicals have great suggestions by the way) I came across this http://www.greenpaws.org/?gclid=CISH...FeFM5QodxCWAFw
There is a good guide on the site that shows the level of harm that a product can be. I was surprised to read that a lot of these products shouldn't be used when women are pregnant/nursing and around children in general - makes you think a bit.

Tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil (shampoo form usually) are used in some cases to deter fleas and ticks but I have never tried it and I'm not sure how effective it is. I used tea tree oil for treating a hot spot on my boxer and it helped but it does have a very strong fragrance that I guess would deter the fleas and ticks. I use Revolution for dogs from Pfizer to protect my dog from fleas and ticks.

For prevention we simply use garlic/brewers yeast tablets...i also sprinkle and rub in some diametecous earth (sp?) all over their coats and on our property; it's perfectly safe! Also, raw ACV in their food or water is good too!
