May have been a little too much liver for him at this stage - it is something you need to go really slowly with , not sure exactly how much you gave him but maybe start with just a teaspoon and slowly increase it by a teaspoon each day or two depending how he handles it. For raw to be balanced you do need to give a variety of offal including liver, you may be able to give supplements instead, not sure which ones as I don't use supplements - I'd rather she got it in natural forms (it's alot cheaper too) but then she doesn't have any health problems or types of food that she gets bad reactions from so I've never had to worry about doing it any differently.

I agree with AussieGirl. Also, now putting together all your posts from yesterday, I do find it interesting that yesterday he had such a bad time, and you went in for your endoscopy. Dogs really are very sensitive to stress and problems. This may also be part of the picture.

I'm glad this is a relapse so to speak, and not something that's going on all the time. That's good news.

I think every dog is different same as humans so no can say how much or how often you should feed your dog .Right now I've hve been playing around with the amounts for Babe because since I got her fixed she went through a phase of not being filled up & always hungry but she also turned 7 months old .So after a couple weeks I tried her on the adult food of the same brand she was eating and she's more content now . She's not a big morning eater but likes to eat more later in the day . Lots of times she leaves some food in the dish in the morning ,then just nibbles on it through the morning .

I don't think at this stage Rex should be eating liver at all. I just recently started Georgie on offal. I went through two weeks each of a new meat for 4 different kinds. I did chicken, pork, turkey and beef and than added a small amount of liver. I still have not given much liver. The green tripe she has done really well with.

Wally gets 2 meals a day, plus 'lunch' either at daycare, or in the various toys and containers we scatter around the yard and house with a small amount of kibble in them to give him something to do while we're at work. We find if he has yummy things to work on while we're gone he doesn't go looking for trouble. He certainly isn't fat, in fact I think he's one big wiggling muscle!

That is exactly the way I prefer to do it (though every one is different) it makes it easier to figure out if a protein source isn't agreeing with them when it is all they are getting, if you start adding offal it's harder to figure out if you over did it with the offal or if the new protein source isn't agreeing with them
