First what I would suggest is making sure he is on a super premium dog food like fromm bg orijen. These are great kibble for dogs. Giveing your dog a great dog food can eliminate slot of skin conditions. I order the holistic way. I feed raw.
I would not bathe him every other day because you are washing Away the natrual oils your dog needs and could lead to more scalp issues. I would use tea tree oil in the water when I do bath the puppy. The tea tree oil is great for skin problems.

If the puppy is in no discomfort I would try with bathing him by adding tea tree oil in his shampoo. Just a few drops And make sure he is on a real good food. If the condition worsens I would suggest seeing your vet.
Would love to know how it works out for you.

Hi and welcome.
I would suggest you go to a vet for a skin scraping if you suspect mange (this will tell if it is mange and what type, you can't tell by a photo). I too echo Haltonhill Boxers in recommending you feed a good quality food - alot of the ailments that affect dogs are diet related. Check out Dog Food Analysis it rates the different dog foods by their ingredients, it is recommended you feed a food that is rated 4 stars or more. Also here is a link to some info on Hair Loss in Dogs, it covers some of the causes of hair loss and also touches a bit on natural remedies and supplements.

I would get it checked out at the vet. It is may be a type of mange. I agree he needs to be on a super high quality dog food. Some types of mange are brought on by a bad immune system so anything you can do to build up his immune system will be helpful.

Welcome!! I would take him to the vet as soon as you are able. If very well could be a type of mange. He looks like a lovely boy in his picture. I agree about a super good quality kibble. If it is demodectic mange which it could be it is often brought on by a weakened immune system. Anything you can do to build his immune system will be helpful. Tell us more about him. How did you get him? What is his name? I would love to see more pictures of him!
