Hello everyone!
What a long and exhausting day, BUT, very rewarding! We made our trip to Dr. Ditonto's. The only regret I have is not going sooner.
George got his first adjustment and was almost IMMEDIATELY visibly better. His nystagmus has improved...HE has improved.
I can barely wait for the CBC, and other test results to come back, amazingly enough....TOMORROW!!!! His lower cervical and thoracic area was way out of whack, not to mention his pelvis. No wonder he has trouble jumping!
Dr. Pitcairns book is next and then my female will be going.
I'm no expert, but some of the posts I've read here...I would recommend EVERYONE to take their furry guys to a holistic vet, yesterday!
Thank-you Sally for your words of advice! I'm so happy, I could cry.
My handsome man is finally coming back to me. Can you tell I'm ecstatic?
I've always wondered about holistic medicine. Now I'm considering going to a holistic doctor myself.
I have more research to do and posts to read. I'll keep you posted.
Again....I thank you, George thanks you, Sheba thanks you...............

That's so awesome -I got tears in my eyes!!! I'm so happy for you and your fur kids!

(btw, I was raised -by an MD father & grandfather, and I'm an RN - to believe Chiropractic was mostly quacks but maybe okay for back pain. I have learned this is far from true and am now a big believer in Chiropractic, for general health and maintenance.)

I'm really so glad George is doing better. Thank you for telling us and hopefully encouraging others with your story.

I've posted this elsewhere but it may be good to put it here too. If someone is interested in finding a holistic vet (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association) in their area they can search here. If you want someone who studied homeopathy with Dr. Pitcairn, you can search here.

Also, for someone who didn't read Vicky's initial post about George, it's here, the 5th post down.

What a heartwarming story!

Default Hello Everyone!

I have been so busy researching and reading Dr. Pitcairns book, that I haven't had extra time to post. We didn't get George's remedies yet. Dr. Ditonto wants me to start the remedies before I change his diet. The problem is finding the supplements I need: Nutritional yeast, lecithin granules, bone meal powder, kelp powder and ascorbic acid. There is a health food store here in town, but they don't have everything. I've searched online and found a few things here and there, but don't want to have to pay all the shipping costs.
Does anyone know of a supplier or source where I can purchase all of these products?
George is doing ok. I think his hip is out again. He won't jump up on the bed or let me put him on the bed. It's also hard to get ahold of Dr. Ditonto because of my work hours. I have so many questions. Chris did call me back to let me know the Dr. and I will have a phone consultation 2 weeks after I've given George the remedy.
His nystagmus has improved, but his left eye doesn't seem to want to focus properly. This is very disturbing to me and I can't imagine how George feels.
Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you're reading Dr. Pitcairn's book. It's full of good info. Also, that George is doing ok. It's not uncommon (in people anyway) for someone to need more than one adjustment to help retrain the muscles and supporting structures so I wouldn't worry about that. Did she say if he'd had a stroke? If so, he may have some residual effects from that and it will just take time to see how much of his normal function returns. But you are giving him good support for his own healing system, which is all you can do.

As far as a good place to shop, I have been very happy with vitacost.com. It's $4.95 shipping no matter how big your order so I usually just put stuff in my cart and then once a month or so place an order. They carry a ton of different products at a good discount.

Hope that helps.
