There have been studies that show( let me see if I can find then ) early neutering / spaying ( 6 months) cause geater risk for damage to joints & ligaments . The body needs the hormones to build strong muscled & ligaments -so if you take those away too early you have more risk of ACL tears and other injuries.
Not to mention the increased risks of spay incontinence for females .
