How does your boxer handle the hot weather?

Gunner will sit on top of the air conditioning vent on the floor. Scout will lay on the kitchen tile floor under the ceiling fan or on the living room floor in front of the box fan.

Rex will stay outside all day in it, as long as he can retreat to the shade for a little rest. Coco doesn't want to be out there at all.... she's smart, she's a female, LOL LOL LOL.

I just turned my AC on for them. I let them out to run a little then call them in after about 15 minutes. It's ok to be just sitting outside, in the shade, but not for working or running.

Edy would lay on the a/c vents too . But at this house she just lays on the kitchen tile .

My other boxers would go down and lay in the finished basement if it was too hot for them . And on those really hot & humid days I would gate them down there if I had to be gone for a long time .

Neither of them like the heat much - Jakey is too hairy and being black the heat really soaks into him, poor boy. Ruby just huffs and puffs in it, she finds it hard to breathe. If we have to go out, it's somewhere with ponds and they both get in there to cool off.

We don't have air con in the house - but when it is hot the dogs lie down on the kitchen or the bathroom floor - it's lino so it's cooler than carpet.

peaches goes to the basement to sprawl out on the cement... when she is nice and cool again she comes back upstairs for another round

Cali can't take the heat too much, she really pants and breathes really fast in the hot weather!
