Red bump on bottom of foot pad?

Hi... I'm new to BoxerHub and have a question. My 6yo female, Lili, has developed a large (1/8 inch to 1/4 inch) circular red bump on the pad of one of her front feet. It sits within a small area of swollen skin/fur and looks like a pimple or a boil or something. It's much redder than a mole/skin tag, which I've seen on her brother, Luthor. She's not bothered by it when we walk or play, but it does bleed a bit when she licks at it (not all the time).

Does anyone know what this bump might be? Lili has pretty significant skin allergies on her feet, but this particular bump doesn't appear to be related, since she doesn't seem to gnaw or lick at it like she does her allergy spots.

It could possibly be a hystiocytoma . They look like a big pimple or bug bite .
They will usually go away on their own in a few weeks to month or two . They will pop on their own and bleed quite a bit .

You can try putting iodine on it , that can help to dry them up faster .

Your vet can aspirate it just to be sure of what it is . They stick a needle in it and draw out some cells to check under a microscope .

Thanks for the reply. It seems like we're talking about the same thing. I'll try the Iodine and wait to see if things resolve on their own. It's nice to have some Boxer people to consult with!
