Thank you all so much for your kind words and wishes. We picked Ruby up 4.30 this afternoon - no she didn't have to stay in Ron thank goodness. She was very drowsy, but she came out of the vets with her little nub wagging and then pulled us to the front door - like get me out of here! The vet said she was such a good girl though - never gave them any trouble at all. She has come home with 2 lots of antibiotics, and her bottom front teeth all gone - poor love. The vet said soft food for the next week while the gum heals over. As soon as we got home, she ran, in a wobbley way, into the kitchen and sat waiting for me to serve her. She stuffed her dinner down [cooked chicken and rice] and then looked around for more, I guess her mouth can't be bothering her too much then, I am delighted to say. She has spent the rest of evening all cuddled up next to me on the sofa and tonight I will sleep downstairs with her as I don't think she can manage the stairs and I can't carry her up them. Thanks again for your thoughts and concerns, they are really appreciated, I am so glad to say that she is doing really well.
