Lightbulb what age can you run ur dog

ive got a 15 week pup and had her running on the beach playing with her ball
but i was told by another dog owner that i shouldnt be doing that until shes over 18 months so what do you guys think?

I guess it depends on what you mean by a run. I take Keepers running most morning, meaning I put on his leash and we jog for a half an hour. I wouldn't do this with Boo because she's only 11 months. That being said Boo runs all the time in the house playing with Keepers or chasing balls. A little running here and there is fine, but long exercise runs should probably not be done until at least a year/18 months.

All the impact on the joints caused by running can interfere with a puppy's growth and cause injury on unstable joints.

another factor is weather. Tie could go all day in the spring and fall, but when the hot humid weather rolls in...he's all but useless
