Katie's at the vet!

Katie got spayed about 2 weeks ago.Well she was playing with the other boxers,my oldest son and me.When she was done I noticed something hanging under her.Her cut had opened up and part of her was hanging out!!So I called my vet.and he met us at his office(it was after hours)He said he needed to keep her over night.If I said I wasn't nervous I'd be lying.She was acting normal,so I think thats a good sign.Anyway it's going to be a long night.

O nooo well maybe she just dehissed a bit and h\they will be able to clean the wopund out and suture her back up. Thoughts with you my friend!!

I remember when Boo got spayed and they told us we had to keep her quiet... how do you keep a puppy quiet?!

I just talked to the vet. Katie is fine.It will be hard but I'll have to keep her calm for 2 more weeks.I really like our vet.He lives in a town about 30 to 45 minutes away,and he rushed right over after hours.And when you call the office after hours it goes straight to him.e He's always there when you need him,and he doesn't always charge for office visits.I wouldn't take my boxers to anyone else.

glad to hear shes ok im now really thinking is it worth getting jena spayed or just leave her as she is what do you guys think

Jena I have heard several different things about not getting a dog fixed.. I have heard that the more heats a female dog goes through the more chance of getting cancer... I have also heard that if you get them fixed before a year old the hormone changes affect there growth platlets... I don't know how true any of it is.. however if you aren't planning on breeding her then there isn't any reason not to get her fixed at some point.
