Default Feeding Lady Miss

My Lady Miss is 5 months old, 30 pounds, 18 inches at the shoulders, and I don't think she eats enough to keep a canary alive. Just got her a week ago so she is just settling in and I think once she gets real comfortable, she'll eat more.

How much does your boxer weigh and how tall is your boxer at the shoulders? I think the boxer breed doesn't really fit into its frame until as late as two years old.

If your dog is happy, active, strong, and healthy, I wouldn't worry about the ribs.

Some of us would love to be able to see our ribs....

Keepers is a skinny dog as an adult, many boxers are. I would check the bag for feeding guidlines. Also, puppy food isn't actually necessary once a pup has left its mother. Actually the high calcium levels can mess up bone development.

I would try out a higher quality food, check out dogfoodanalysis.com for some great foods. We feed Wellness Core, Fromm and The Honest Kitchen.

I agree. The puppy food is not necessary and a higher quality food would definitely been benificial
