Default Boxer Drinking Water Until He Vomits

To remove this ad please Register
For the last three days my 15 month old boxer keeps drinking water until he makes himself sick. He has never had this problem until yesterday.

He seems completly healthy otherwise.

What could be causing this?

thanks so much for your advice!

the answer could be as simle as the water is nice and cold and he likes it. Or a sign of diabetes.

Either way keep an eye on it and contact your vet

I don't think this is the big problem. Drinking more water will not make your boxer sick. I think your boxer needs more water. Watch him for a week. If he continues drinking more water get him to the vet.

As long as he's peeing more (accordingly with the water) then it could just be he likes it

or he's eating somthing outside thats making him thirsty

I would get the blood test to rule out diabetes, just for piece of mind.

It is not uncommon for some dogs to drink tons of water. Keeps has done this a few times, luckily changing his diet to one with more water in it has helped him control his intake. I give my two ice cubes when it seems like they are in the mood to drink too much. That way they still get some water but they are forced to drink it more slowly.
