Yesterday Daisy got into the dry cat food. It gave her the worst gas. Now she has really loose stools. I had to get up during the night and she was up at 5 this morning and has gone 2 times since (I am on the west coast so it is only 6:30 now). My question is should I feed her her breakfast. I usually feed her after her walk in a couple of hours. Should I change her diet? I make her food and add a little dry to it.

You can add 1-2 table spoons of pure pumpkin to her food . It will help to firm things up . Make sure it is 100% pumpkin , here it is sold as libby's in a can in the baking aisle near pie fillings .

Just be aware what goes in orange will come out orange too . Freaked me out the first time .

i would feed her. Her poo should be normal again once the cat food gets through her system.

If one of my two is vomiting or has very loose stools I usually withhold one meal. If she still doesn't seem to be clearing up you could do a bland diet for a day or two, by a mixture of rice and boiled chicken.

Diarrhea is nature's way of trying to clean out the intestinal tract of irritants and, although problematic to you, is actually a good thing. But you don't want her to get dehydrated or have an electrolyte problem. I would avoid solid food (so her intestinal tract can rest and do it's thing) for a day but give her broth to be sure and replenish things like sodium and potassium. When she's feeling better, maybe something like plain yogurt to help replenish her intestines with friendly bacteria.
