So when Tie went in for his nerve issue on Monday they did his year blood test for heartworm and whatever. I guess at some point last year -- late fall -- he was bit by a tick and received the Anaplasmosis virus

Anaplasmosis is a disease caused by a micro-organism that is a parasite of red blood cells. It affects domestic and wild ruminants, including cattle, sheep, goats and deer. However, it only causes clinical signs in cattle and giraffes

The vet said it was very faint in his blood but still wants to treat it for three weeks.
Aside from a picky eater the last while, he's been as healthy as a a horse, but better to be safe than sorry i guess
