Unhappy Throwing up after eating

Lately Maggie has been throwing up after eating. I think maybe she is so hungry that she eats her food too fast. Have any of you experienced this? Any suggestions?

If she is eating too fast they have these dog bowls that have a center in them. They are like a ring. They are for dogs that eat too fast. They have to work around the ring and it slows their eating down. How often are you feeding? If you are feeding once a day maybe she needs to eat twice a day.

could be many things.... What are you feeding? Is this a new issues? How is the poop looking? formed? normal?
You can also slow them down by putting large rocks in the food dish. Feeding twice a day is good too.

Ditto to what has already been said .

Somtimes dogs will get sick after eating too fast , this can happen with water too .
Try feding more smaller meals and put something in the bowl like a rock that she will have to eat around , making her slow down .

Wally is a vacuum eater--sucks it down as fast as he can. I looked into the 'doughnut' bowls, but they were SO expensive! Then I looked at our metal dog dish---turn it upside down, and Voila! A doughnut food dish! It takes him at least 3 times as long to finish his dinner---which gives our 14 year old lab-mix Carli time to finish HER meal before Wally the vacuum races in to eat what might still be in her dish.
We got Wally's food dish at IKEA. It's maybe 8 inches in diameter, and has a flat rim that makes a great channel for the food when it's upside down. I feed him kibble with a few teaspoons of wet food sprinkled over it, and sometimes add a bit of water to make a sauce--which takes him even longer, 'cause he has to lick up every drop!

Good Luck with Maggie!

if your dish is one shape and turning it upside down doesn't work, just put something heavy in the middle so she has to eat around the object. a heavy glass upside down will work, or a large rock, etc. be creative. that will do the trick.

Boo would throw up after eating all the time before we eliminated corn from her diet.
