My family and I are the recent proud parents of our new Boxer, Alley. Are all Boxers this smart and easy to train? She picked up potty training within a week. Still an accident once in a great while, but with hard wood floors, easy to deal with compared to carpet. Great to be a new member here as well.

Hi and congratulations on your new fur baby. We had a surprisingly easy time with house training too, I think if you go the right way about it yes they are pretty easy to train. Hope the rest of your training goes just as well! You must post some pictures we love looking a Boxer pictures......especially puppy ones!

Hello, welcome and congrats on your new baby. Yes, Boxers are very smart and learn quickly. That is the reason we got a second one so fast with our first pair (we are now on our second pair) of boxers. Our female was so smart, we rushed to get the second one.... a male... but he turned out to be dopey...... very very loveable, but dopey. He was more of a challenge to train, but he finally caught on. When I took him to puppy training class, he was the class clown. Kept everyone laughing. I knew I didn't have to bring the female, I would just take what I learned to teach her and of course she did learn it all.

Good luck!

hello and welcome .

Boxers are very smart , sometimes too smart for their own good .
Good to hear she is doing great with house training ,do not get too doscouraged if she has some setbacks , that is normal .

Welcome to the group. Buddy's our first boxer so I don't know about them in general. He's definitely smart and the boxers I've seen here are smart - just like their owners.
