I was on another boxer forum but the people there were very very rude and judgmental so I came here hoping its better. They all wanted me to fix my female etc etc don't let her breed blah blah blah constant harassment. Anyways. I have a 3 year old female boxer named Aries we just bred her with a friends male boxer and are hoping for pups come the end of September. She is registered AKC he is registered CKC not sure what the difference is if someone wouldn't mind telling me that would be great but either way nice to be here hope its different from the last place where I was criticized for asking questions.

Welcome to the forum. Many of us have had experiences similar to you on other forums. I think you will find this different.

Hoss, when you say the male is registered with CKC is that Canadian Kennel Club or Continental????

By the way Welcome. I know what you mean about many forums, they tend to be more of a rescue and therefore they only want all dogs spayed and neutered. Or rescued, and not gotten from a Breeder. We of course concern ourselves with ETHICAL breeding.

Hi there..... this is the first and only Boxer forum I've been on, so I'm glad I picked a good one, LOL.

Everyone here is very nice and helpful too.

Sorry I don't know the difference between the AKC and CKC..... I never got into any of that part of boxer ownership since I was only having them as pets. The 2 that I have now are rescue dogs so don't know their history.

I remember when I had bought my first set of boxers, I could have registered them, but again, had no interest in doing anything with them other than having them as pets.

Here in Canada, the CKC referees to the Canadian Kennel Club

Hoss, just so you know, these pups will NOT be able to be registered with the AKC. Just because one of the parents it, please don't make people think the pups are. I have a hard time with people that make puppy buyers think they can register the pups just because one of the parents is AKC. Obviously the CKC (Continental) will register them. Many people use the AKC as a selling point.

MaryLou can you explain why they won't be able to be registered AKC? I mean its not a real big deal to me personally I wasn't going to register them just sell them to interested people.
