Hi from SC

Hello everyone! I am a mommy to 3 human children A who is 6, B who is 4, and E who is 2. We are going today to pick up our wonderful new reverse brindle sealed black girl 'Roxy' who was born on 1/11/11 !!

I am so excited, we have been prepared for a week with everything she needs. She is actually our first boxer who is still with my ex-husband (breaks my heart I don't have her, she was my best friend). I know that I can never fill that void, but I know that Roxy will bring a new joy to our lives.

I have loved boxers ever since I met my uncle's boxers about 10 years ago. Just before I got pregnant with my first son we decided to purchase a boxer from my uncle and got a brindle girl named 'Diamond.'

They are wonderful family dogs, very loyal, compassionate, intelligent, protective, trusting, and most of all they are such entertainment and always keep you laughing. I knew I wanted a dog my children could grow up with and share life with, a dog that would protect them, but not make them fearful so boxers after having owned one and doing plenty of research were the perfect breed.

I will post some pictures tonight after we get her and she gets settled in! I am going to get her around 5 today, so I am going to have no patience until then, hehe!

I look forward to making friends, learning more about boxers, and getting advice for our trials and tribulations!

awww im looking forward to seeing pictures of her! i am also from south carolina and just got my puppy like a week ago! its very exciting to get a new little one

Thanks so much! I'm glad to be here, its nice having other boxer lovers and parents to chat with and ask questions too! I hope to meet some new friends and maybe make Roxy some friends too!

Thanks so much everyone! It was quite an eventful weekend! Once I got her home of course I spoiled her rotten, then everyone got sick so I spent the rest of the weekend with no sleep from taking a 6 week old puppy out and from caring for everyone else.

I did take her to the vet on Saturday and had her checked out by my vet, which said she looked wonderful. Typical overbite for a boxer, no murmurs in her heart, her hips seemed to be doing wonderful. Had her checked for worms (tested not just a visual) and she was negative, got her worm pills, flea serum, then got her microchip, which by the way makes me feel so much better knowing (God forbid) that if she runs off or someone takes her I can find her again!

I will post some pictures tonight as again this was quite a busy weekend. Thanks for all the welcomes!
