Kaco Boxers is on a distinguished road
Default Hello Everyone

To remove this ad please Register
I am also from Ontario, Canada. We have 4 amazing dogs, Raven (5.5yrs), Mya (4yrs), Dani (7yrs) and our newest boy York (20 mths).

I am a small breeder who believes that less is more. We believe in minimal vaccinations and instead opt for antibody titer testing. We dont use heartworm or flea preventatives and we feed a 100% raw diet. I do however health test my dogs 24hr heart holter, hips, thyroid, DM and ARVC.

I personally love all boxers but my heart belongs to the Europeans. Both of our males are imported and I am looking at bringing over another female in the next month or two. We are active with our dogs, living on 2 acres but we are surrounded by 400 acres of farm fields We also train in OB and are looking forward to trying some Agility out this fall.

Some names here look familiar and I look forward to meeting the rest of the Boxerhub crew in the near future

Welcome - I like your paradigms! Buddy's only had rabies vaccine because it's required by law. We also prefer to pick an occasional tick off him and test for heart worm yearly rather than give him medications. (Can't really call them preventative medicines since they don't prevent the dog from getting heart worm, just kill them before they can get large.)

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your dogs! We're all crazy about pictures!!!

Hi and Welcome! What beautiful pups you have! From the photos, it looks like the European Boxer is a more heavy-boned dog than the US dogs--is that right? They look very strong and powerful--sturdy! Love the shot with 'Grandma'--patience personified!
Our Wally is only 1/2 boxer--but he certainly has given me a new breed to love. Keep the pictures coming--especially Puppies!!

Thank you for the warm welcomes. Yes, the Europeans tend to be heavier boned and have shorter muzzles. Today I am off to the vets to have one of our girls ultrasounded to confirm pregnancy. Wish us luck!

Thanks Annie Well we didnt get the news we were looking for, her ultrasound came back negative. Thats ok though because I will look forward to next spring! I find my Euro's to be pretty mellow, I had an American lined girl and she didnt calm down before the age of 7yrs!! I think their temperament has alot to do with the environment they are in. If you have a wild and crazy home, chances are you are going to have a wild and crazy dog, lol. We are pretty laid back here, my guys are big couch potato's but one thing I do notice is that my Euro's are really focused when being worked. they take their dog and task seriously. I love that about them
