Hi I'm Roscoe's mom
To remove this ad please Register hi I'm new here and hope to get lots of advise and share lots of stuff about my newest fmily member. Our little man is named Roscoe (if ya haven't figured that out yet LOL) and he is a Flashy Fawn. Just a handsome little guy. We got him from a great Couple who were very patient with us and our children, as we came to visit often until Roscoe was old enough to come home. Roscoe has had some health issues once we got him but after reading about boxers before and after we got him I'm guessing it is not out of the norm. Our poor Little guy was born with a type of mange and had a cough. We found out that the mange is NOT unusual and that boxers are prone to colds and allergies. With Love and meds Roscoe is healthy and thriving. He is so great with our daughter who love to "play" with him and Super with our Son who has some "anxieties" (the reason for getting Roscoe in the first place). I am a Rn at a local ER and my husband is a firefighter.

My sisters boxer had mange at one point too. It took awhile to clear up, but now he looks wonderful

Glad to hear he's feeling better! Welcome.
Have you informed the people you got him from he had mange? Mange in a young dog is a sign of an underdeveloped immune system and means the bitch should not be breed again. We've had several dogs come through the rescue I work with who have mange. Luckily, there are a few new treatments out there that have helped dogs much faster than the old methods. O deff I let the people I got him know they were very apologitic about it and assured me that none of the other pups had it (yet). the vet did say that he could be the first. I was at their house several times and I did not notice it on the Mom or the Dad. Roscoe is on the meds now and it is looking better every day most don't even notice it
hey how do I post pics I can't seem to get it done, I'd love to show of my boy!!
