Hi John, I like to crate train my dogs. It is so much easier to potty train and and keep your house and the puppy safe. My pups whine to go IN their crates LOL.
Boxers are the best dogs ever, but they are high energy dogs. You need to be prepared to meet that need. There is a saying that says "a tired dog is a good dog" that is very true for boxers!

hello my name is john fom oldham and in a few weeks my new boxer puppy will be ready my last dog was a boxer cross and was fantastic but i have been reading all these hoorror stories about boxers and iam wondering if iam doing the right thing my question is do i have to use a crate as my last dog just had a basket to sleep in i live in a 1 bed flat but dont work so i have loads of time to dedicate to my pup cant i just try training her to sleep in the kitchen in a basket when she is old enough at first she can sleep in the bedroom at the side of me while she is still young as she will be 10 weeks when i get her what do you think of this your help and views would be appreciated thanks.
