When feeding a raw diet they need a ratio of 80% meat 10% offal and 10% bone. So the bones in the chicken is needed to keep it balanced, otherwise you will be spending a ton of money on suppliments to provide them with the nutrients they would be getting in the bone, bone provdes them with calcium. Is there a reason why you were wanting to take the bones out?

Cooked bones are dangerous and can splinter, but raw bones are fine. Raw bones are also good for cleaning your dogs teeth. Here is a link that explains the myth that raw bones are dangerous. There are certain bones you would want to avoid like chicken wings, but the rest of the chicken is fine. Our girl has been eating chicken including the bone without any issues as have many, many other dogs.

Raw bones are VERY healthy!!!! they are safe and they area great for keeping teeth clean and breath fresh. My pups get an occasional chicken wing too, I don't worry about those either.
I want to add that I was supposed to get a male pup from Poppy's litter. I got a phone call one Sunday morning saying my little Timmy had choked to death on kibble.
There is no guarentee with anything but I wouldn't give my dogs anything I didn't believe to be in their very best interest!!
