Yes! when fried the house smells for a good 2 days afterwards, unless we have all the doors and windows open when cooking. Raw, the smell is barely noticeable. Ruby and Jakey love raw fish - even more than meat - you saw how Ruby left the heart for last - mind you that's probably because I'm such a 'mummy' sometimes and I usually cut it up for her - I only left it whole this time so you could all see it clearly on the video!!

It took her maybe 5 minutes - bit less, she was a bit of a pig and swallowed big bits . No there wasn't any bone in that meal but the previous night she had turkey neck which is an "all bone meal" so to keep the 80/10/10 ratio she will have the next 8 meals (after the turkey neck) meat meals with a little offal - 1 bone meal + 8 meat meals (some with offal) would be equal to 80/10/10 (I've just broken it down to 8 meat/1 bone/1 offal - which I add to the meat). Great question! Let me know if I didn't explain it properly

Okay - I get it now. Thanks.
Well we Buddy had his first raw meal tonight and really enjoyed it! We live in a condo by Lake Michigan so we don't have our own yard, and the area outside our door is dune grass taller than he is, so we had to do it inside and spread out an old sheet for him to eat it on. But it worked out pretty good. He only tried to carry it off twice and quickly decided it wasn't worth the battle. I figure that's perfect for the winter too, plus it's easy to wash.
At first he sort of licked it and "sized it up." He also kept glancing at us like "Is this okay?" The whole thing probably took only about 20 minutes and I think he would have loved more but we want to wait until tomorrow and make sure it settles okay. Although he was running around acting fine.
The video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqAlozrlExY. It's about 5 minutes long.
Thanks so much for your help!!!

turn you volume down as it sounds like I'm yelling!!
Today's menu was chicken, egg, and chicken liver. Wouldn't you know she went off her rug too but she cleaned up well after I shut the video off.

Ruby Red great videos! I like you usually give diced heart I actually buy it vacuum sealed already diced because I hate touching it ewww. I liked the way she stopped and sniffed it - just to make sure it was still there lol.
Spyglass Sally he was so cute! I love their first ever RAW meals and the way they look at you to check if it is really okay, you watch he'll be eating those quarters alot quicker before you know it.
Thank you both for sharing

All of these "raw videos" are so cool. I loved seeing all these babies enjoying their food.

Spyglass Sally, that is just priceless – her first raw meal – her little face, checking it out, absolutely lovely, real melt in your heart stuff I think!
Whitedaisy, she looks like the consummate professional – don’t worry about anything else, it’s grub time....I loved it!
