"you do not need to add vegetables and fruit but you can if you like (personally I do as she likes it and when feeding a bigger dog makes it go a little further), the fruit and veg would be in the meat portion – don’t reduce the offal or bone."

If you are refering to the sticky I did add a little to it but I didn't go into heaps of detail as it is one of the topics that gets RAW feeders debating and I though it would be a shame if the thread was to end up being an argument between the "for" and "against" fruits and vegetables (I have seen some very heated debates over fruit and veg) rather than what it ended up being - a simple, hopefully easy to understand basic guide to RAW feeding.
I add veg and fruit to her ground meat meals - I puree it and mix it through, in my first attempts at RAW feeding 10 yrs ago I just mixed say whole peas through and found they came out the way they went in . But Ruby's favourites are carrots, sweet potato, peas, beans, spinach, parsley, blueberries, strawberries, apples and pears

I've got a juicer and noticed last week that Buddy really loved what I shared with him. Maybe that's a good way to make it more digestible. Are we allowed to give fruits and veggies during the period where they are being introduced to all the protein sources, or is it better to not complicate things?

You raw feeders got us (formerly) non-raw feeders all jumping in now and we have all these questions! Hope it's not too much of a pain. I can read stuff online and in books, but some of it's contradictory (like whether or not to feed fruits & veggies) so it's nice to be able to ask people in this group who've been doing it for years what they're experience is.

I did during her transition, but we used to have a vegie patch and she had been harvesting it for us so she was already getting it anyway. It should be okay - just not too much
No, never a pain, I struggled for a very long time with raw feeding because of all the differences of opinions and shoulds and shouldn'ts, my thoughts now are as long as you give the 80/10/10 you're doing it balanced - if you want to add other stuff (as long as it's not toxic to dogs) then go ahead but always, always follow the 80/10/10

I had been meaning to add this photo to show you how I prepare her fruit and veg (sorry I've been slack ). I just use a bar mix/stab blender (there are a few different names for them not sure what you guys call them) to puree it, then I mix it with her meat, some mix it with offal, it's really up to you how you choose to add it.
The fruit/veg mix in the photo has peas, carrots, swt potato, spinach, apple and parsley - doesn't look very appealing but she likes it .

I agree. When I was reading the online stuff I just got confused. I did not know who was right and who wasn't. Aussiegirls article she wrote was so clear and I still refer to it. I am sure us raw feeding newbees will continue to have lots of questions.
