Ground pork. Keepers loves pork, second only to beef. Our supplier is grinding it lean for us too. Last month I thought he wasn't getting enough bone, but after adding in more bone it was obvious that wasn't the problem. I think the lamb was just richer than he was used to. I love having this lady do custom grinds to meet Keepers very specific needs. We also decided to try a bit of ground rabbit, and a few marrow bones for little Boo.

Do you ever mix protein sources at the same meal? Other than meat and egg I've never tried it. Not sure we'll want to, but in case the rabbit doesn't agree with him, could I cut it with some lamb or pork?

Yes I mix all the time. I freeze my ground in large stackable containers and sometimes there is not quite enough left for a whole meal so I will add a leg, thigh etc to it. If a meat is a little too rich for him then yes mix it with something he can tolerate better, sometimes you can slowly up the amount of the richer meat as they get used to it, but some may never be able to tolerate it by itself - depends on the dog

Yep, I mix all the time too. I'm glad you have someone to work with you and Keepers!
