Keepers had his favorite, pork ribs, this Sunday. He chewed for close to a half hour so I really wasn't worried about too big of pieces being eaten. That is, until he pooped. Two pieces of bone came out that were about an inch in length. What am I doing wrong? The whole bone cleans his teeth so well, I wish it could be at least part of his diet.

He will not touch a recreational bone either... weirdo.

I had a huge mix that used to swallow HUGE bits of bone the silly "boof head" it was at times vey disturbing to pick his poop up - the size of the bone in it . Ruby does have moments she is a pig and will eat a chic leg in two bites she has never had any issues with it on the "way out" some dogs are just like that I have heard of heaps that will only chew until it's only just small enough to swallow.

You aren't doing anything wrong! It's okay. Mine do chew well, but I know people that their pup only chews enough to make it fit down the pipe.
