Please tell me you freaked out too the first time you fed fur. That was NASTY! Keepers wasn't a huge fan, but he ate it. Boo ate the fur-free stuff I gave her first, but the went straight for the furry stuff. YUCK!!!

That's where I draw the raw feeding line. I can't do furry things.

It was ground rabbit... but they were ground whole so we got plenty of brown fur. Can't get more natural than that. ECK!!!! As long as they eat it, I don't really care. We got 30 pounds of pork and 5 pounds of rabbit, so they get a lot more pork than rabbit in each meal. I was really not expecting the fur, but we've never done small animal before so I imagine that's why.

That's a new one for me too! But I'm new to raw - Buddy's never had rabbit. Unless there's something he hasn't told me about.

He he he, Ruby's first bunny was actually discarded because the boys left fur on the feet I clearly told Dh I had had a pet rabbit growing up and if I was to feed whole rabbit it couldn't have ANY fur on it after they dressed it. They left the feet fury and I got peeved and couldn't feed it - they were then told that if it is too hard to get the fur off the feet to cut them off .

I'm thinking that she wouldn't have sold it to us if it wasn't healthy for them... and the de furred bunny was a dollar more/pound... so this will have to work! We haven't had poops yet this evening, I'm just hoping the fur doesn't come out again the other end.
