Tie finally finished off the rest of his food, so i think we'l give RAW a go now. I'll give it a few weeks and decide if it's right for us after that.

I showed him his drumsticks he's having for supper and he's pretty pumped haha

I started today too. I hope this works for Rex. I will do all I can to get his stomach in good shape! Maybe someday I will be brave enough to try drumsticks, LOL. I wasn't thrilled to see Rex take a hunk of the ground meat and drop it on the kitchen floor. Can't imagine him laying a chicken leg on the floor...... not with my fears of salmonella!! I know I can lay something down as someone else had, but I know it wouldn't stay on a towel or whatever. I am also afraid that the two dogs might end up fighting over food that takes that long to be working on. Rex would be done with his before Coco and he would try to take hers too. They do already eat in separate rooms, but not gated apart because then they won't eat at all, worrying about what the other one has or doesn't have. There is no food aggressions here, but I don't want to start any either.

Can't wait to see how Tie does!

Doreen, do you have a yard? You could feed outside until the weather gets too cold. Boo used to eat in her crate because she would take Keepers' food, but with enough correction she can now eat next to him. She will just sit and wait and watch him until he's done. We do let her lick his bowl once he's through.

Yay for Ty!

You have to train them to stay put, it doesn't take too long. I used a kennel for Poppy because when she was little she wasn't reading Daisy's signals. The crate is still up but we don't close the door anymore. Everybody knows that you don't get to go by another rug until that dog has left. We do get pups waiting impatiently at a distance to have a lick. I'd take the crate down now but the top has become a junk collection spot... I wouldn't know where to put that junk LOL

That's great! I was quite nervous when we started out...Nikita had a couple bouts of vomit....all is ok now. Magtie, i don't know how far you are from Newmarket..but i get my ground chix & organ meat there for about $30.00/mth for both dogs!! it's great cause it comes in frozen blocks, so you just defrost it overnight...and i don't have a mess

Yes, I have a decent size yard... it used to be really nice looking too, until Rex and Coco came along, now there are fences up around every plant and bush and the sod is all pulled up from them playing with it, like a game... when they chase each other, LOL, Who ever has the piece of sod in his or her mouth is the one that gets chased, LOL.
