Monthly raw prep

Well today I did Ruby's ground meat for the month, I bought 5kg each of roo, beef and chicken & roo. I cooked up her sweet potato and did the veg puree - used peas, carrots, beans, spinach, parsley, pears, apples and blueberries this month. I also got my hands on some flaxseed oil (good source of omega 3) and used that instead of olive oil and I found some rolled quinoa. I've been interested in trying it since reading about it here. It cooked up like porridge and mixed in with the ground well, was very easy to use. My freezer is now as full as it can be (I got all her other meat from the butcher yesterday) - it took me about half an hour to try and squeeze everything in so I could shut the door lol. Oh I am glad it's over with - at least until next month Man she's got it good

Do you have a recipe with amounts, etc? I'd be interested in it too. Buddy loves his Doggie Oats but I think variety is good.

my freezer is full too! I made up all the individual meat packs yesterday, but didn't mix anything into them. I had a bad headache on and off all day again, so I just wanted the meats all in the freezer so it wouldn't go bad.

do you get migraines? my dad has always had them, when he feels a headache coming on, he immediately drinks black coffee (no sugar) with fresh lemon squeezed into it...you have to do it as soon as you feel the headache coming on....seems to work for him

Yes, I do get migraines, maybe once a month... but I usually get headaches every day, waking up with them... all due to allergies... It has been bad the past few weeks. It will slow down eventually.
I don't drink coffee.... I am basically a water drinker. If anything I drink hot tea with lemon and honey if I have a cold. Although coffee smells soooo good, I don't like it, LOL.
I have prescriptions for if the headache is pretty bad, but not a migraine yet, plus I have actual meds for a migraine, that usually work. Last time though, it just wouldn't kick it.

sort of lol, I do everything by eye but I'll give estimates
I actually do a slightly different veg puree for each type of meat just to give a little variety but some of it stays the same, so what I made yesterday was
5kg roo
300g sweet potato
100g spinach
1 - 1 1/2 cup carrots
200g blueberries
1/3 bunch parsley
1 - 1 1/2 cup quinoa
3-4 tbl spoons flaxseed oil
5kg beef
300g sweet potato
100g spinach
1 - 1 1/2 cup mixed veg (beans,carrot,peas)
2 apples
1/3 bunch parsley
1 - 1 1/2 cup quinoa
3-4 tbl spoons flaxseed oil
5kg roo & chicken
300g sweet potato
100g spinach
1 - 1 1/2 cup peas
2 pears
1/3 bunch parsley
1 - 1 1/2 cup quinoa
3-4 tbl spoons flaxseed oil

I don't always add veg to her ground some months she will get with veg, some without - depends on how busy I am . Also I rub a little Kwan Loong medicated oil into my temples when I get a migraine, it's great stuff you can use it for sprains, insect bites, cold and flu, travel sickness.

Hmm, I did work it out once, think I worked it out to be around 10 % give or take a percent or two , unless I am baking I cook by eye (and taste with people food - I'm not tasting her food lol).
