Whole Mackerel Fish?

Hey Paul how do you "grind" up your fish and other meat? do you do it or is it done at the butcher?

We buy pre-ground salmon. But fish is so soft you might be able to just throw it in a normal food processor.

Bobby would not eat the whole fish at first, now he gobbles them up. Georgie ate them from the first time I gave them to her. Try it whole and see how he does first. I know what you mean about handling them though. I get grossed out every time I do but I just deal with it.

Most meat grinders will void their warranty if you grind bones. Doesn't mean they can't handle them though, especially the softer ones. Now that you'll have two big dogs to feed it might be a good investment.

Let us know what you find. I looked at them once and it seems like they were around $500 (like this Weston) and I couldn't see any justification over just buying it ground. But I didn't look or think about it too much. It would be interesting to hear what you think.
