Default Preventing food from getting boring

we feed Charlie on turkey mince, lamb mince, beef mince, chicken breast, chicken wings and diced meat (whatever im cooking that ive got surplus then ill dice for him), ox's liver, chicken liver, lambs liver or kidneys. He also loves raw carrots to chew on, apples, pears, bananas.

The chicken and turkey he loves but hes getting bored of the lamb and beef. Sometimes we mix 2 diferent types of meat up, add an egg, add some yogurt. All stuff to try and make it more interesting for him. Hes still quite young so im a little restricted on some stuff for him. There has been twice now that maybe i diced stuff a bit too big and then he ends up vomiting later.

So what other ways can I make his food a little more interesting?

I've found a nice supplier of chicken necks, tripe, heart... so he will have a few more things to try out soon.

sorry, just hearing all those words are making me gag, LOL.... can't help you there. I was lucky I was able to feed Rex the raw ground turkey with my rubber gloves on and not vomit doing that, LOL.

I would just stick to what you are doing . If you cater to him when he starts to get fussy then you will be creating a monster when it comes to eating . When he is hungry he will eat .

You are feeding the main sources of meat, did you try fish yet? I wouldn't worry about him getting bored, if he doesn't eat it maybe he isn't hungry. Take it away and offer it to him again at his next feeding time.

I'm with you Doreen!
Wally is a kibble and canned food boy-I just can't do the whole raw thing. He gets an egg once in a while (he loves that mom is a bit of a klutz in the kitchen!) and nibbles now and then but with his touchy digestive system I'm sticking with what works!!

Mince is ground meat yes.

Fish wise i tried him on some cod and salmon and he wasnt interested. Will be trying other types soon. We have been persisting with it. He will sit there looking at us with those sad little eyes, whimpering sweet little puppy sounds, begging for us to take his horrid beef mince away. Then we dont... we leave it out for a while, if he doesnt eat it then it goes in the fridge and comes back out again next meal time.

At the end of the day if i dont put up with my child wanting diferent meals from us at dinner time, then i wont be putting up with a dog getting fussy and wasting perfectly good meat. I just didnt know if there was anything else i could include to make his diet more interesting but it seems im doing a good enough job. hehehehe

Doreen i dont particularly like handling the livers and kidneys and stuff but it has to be done. As for the raw meat... its no diferent to handling meat for our meals. Ive got a good solid stomach for stuff like this!
