OK, I don't give Ruby lamb chops - not because the bone is harder but because they are small and I worry that Ruby won't bother to chew it properly - it's the same reason I don't give her little chicken wings. From the reading I have done, many people do feed them though with no problems, but I am cautious that way. I give her lamb neck and ribs that are attached to the spine and sometimes lamb shank - shank is very pricey over here so not often. The bone is harder than chicken but she manages ok.

I don't feed chop bones or anything cut on the butchers saw as they often have sharp bits but lamb bones in the form of necks, breast (ribs) and shanks are some of Ruby's favs.

Sounds like a great plan to me. What goes in, must come out - and then it's your problem.

A few days ago our seven year old grandson was "sucking on a quarter" (don't ask) and it popped down his throat and got stuck! They x-rayed it and it was above the esophagus so they decided to give it a day to see if it passed before they transferred him to Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids to remove it.

Fortunately it moved past the esophagus the next day. Yesterday he told his Dad "Well, the quarter hasn't come out yet... I think that it will come out with a pop!"

Between kids and dogs, it's always something.

I'll have to pass that on to my son!

Edit:
I just emailed my son with your comment and the suggestion that he wait until Marshall has left the bathroom, then come out with wet coins and say he found them in the toilet. See if Marshall buys it, lol!!!
