The 'giving her up part' was one of the big fears we had about fostering. It would be so easy to keep her, especially as she gets on so well with my dogs and is basically a very sweet and easy going girl who just wants a little company and some tlc. However, we both agreed that we cannot be too sentimental about this. If we took her on, we wouldn't be able to do anymore fostering as we just don't have the room what with paying dogs stopping over too. We both agreed that we must think of her like a boarding dog, who is just having an extended holiday with us. It's the only way for us to deal with that part of the process, hard as it sounds!

I'm glad you don't live around here or I'd be sorely tempted to see if we could have two dogs here! What a wonderful looking dog - and she looks so happy! Some family's going to be very lucky to get her!!!

She is about the same in terms of height, but she has a completly different frame - very broad and wide and more solid. Ruby is so lithe and skinny compared to Honey. I wish I could get another 2kg on Ruby but she eats so much [trust me, plus treats and everything else] and she just burns it off. If I cut back her exercise, then she cuts down on the eating! so it's a no-win situation trying to get a bit of fat on her! Honey is a bit overweight, I think, but not by much. I'm waiting for the Rescue to set up an account at my vets so I can go get her weighed and checked over. I'll try and get a pic of the 2 of them together - I have been trying the past few days, but Ruby won't stand still long enough - I'm still flaffing around with this new camera and I bought a new telescopic lens at the weekend too, by the time I sorted out the camera, adjusted the lens etc., either Ruby has given up and is lying or sitting down, or one of them has wandered off into another room..... so I call whoever back then ofcourse I have to adjust the lens again......and so on and so on..........ad infinitum...........
