The good news - Roddy has a new home..................with us. The Rescue put him up for rehoming on their forum and it was a like a knife being plunged into our hearts looking at his details and his picture, we both knew we couldn't give him up when it came down to it. He is just such a little nutcase that I don't think anyone would put up with him and love him the way we do. Honestly he is the naughtiest dog I have ever had in my life..............but despite that, he has gone and stolen our hearts.

The bad news, no more fostering for us. It's hard having 3 dogs around the house full time plus the ones I board for work - there was one week this summer when we had 8 dogs in the house all at the same time - which is a bit mad really, but lucky for us as they all get on. We just can't do it financially or emotionally either. It was SO hard giving our first foster Honey away but we were told by the Rescue that the first one is always the worst, so we got over it and took on Roddy. The longer he was here the more "baggage," he turned out to have so, poor boy, just wasn't really suitable for re-homing until now, even now he still has things that need work on. I do feel really bad that I failed as a foster mum, it was always my intention if you like to try and help dogs out of rescue and get them into homes, but emotionally it's just too hard and I am too soft.

Anyway, just wanted to share the good news with you all that Roddy has found his forever home with us.

Aww, that's so sweet Stephanie. I couldn't give them up either, I'm sure. I'm sure Roddy's been sending up dog prayers ever since he got there "Don't let her give me away. I don't want to leave!" You wouldn't want to see his prayers unanswered, would you?

Congratulations on your new fur kid!
