I rescued by boxer (Tie) from boxer rescue Ontario about 5 years ago. It was a great experience handled by caring and compassionate people.

Where did you rescue your pup from?

Gosh, it's been more than 20 years since I got Maddie from a rescue group. They were just some local people who worked hard trying to help animals who were being abused in our county. I don't even remember if the group had a specific name at that time. They just advertised by word of mouth mostly and when people knew of a neighbor mistreating their animals, they'd call this group and the group members would go get the animal. I think after a while, some messy situations with the animal owners happened (like people resisting letting the rescue group take the animal), and the group had to stop their work for safety reasons.

It's so great now to know that rescue groups operate with the help of the police and that laws protect animals from abuse and mistreatment.

Keepers was from a Dobe rescue. A vet saw him at the shelter and just couldn't leave him. She had worked with the dobe rescue before so they helped her get him in a foster home until we found him.

Default My Rescue

I rescued Jaws from a no kill shelter in killeen tx. He was left tied to there front gate. He and I were an instant match. He is such a clown. He loves my wife and two boys but he is absolutely my dog. He will never leave my side.

We rescued Pete when he was only five weeks old. Far too young I know. He and his siblings were found in a cage at the edge of someone's yard with 'Free Puppies' written on a sign. The woman that found him took all of them. They were placed in foster care and Pete ended up with my sister-in-law who also does fostering. She called us and jokingly asked us if we wanted a Boxer puppy. We shocked her by saying 'yes'! Best choice we ever made.

that's insane that someone would just leave the puppies outside in a cage so young. I'm glad Pete found a good home though
