this pretty girl has been flooding my home!! Now she is on prednisone (sp?) and I know this will make them pee more, but she can hold her urine all night while in her crate.I can put her outside for an half hour or more and she will STILL come in and pee somewhere. She also has a problem with peeing when someone new comes in and or when you play with her and I don't meen just a dribble, she leaves a small to medium size puddle. This is something I have a hard time dealing with but she is such a sweet tempered boxer.I have absolutely NO worries about her around small kids or other dogs. She is on ear meds. Her ears are full of gook. She has obviously been scratching the crap out of her poor ears as they have cuts on them.Cleaning her ears is so very hard. She is so strong I can not do it by myself. My husband has a hard time holding her still so I can put the ear wash and drops in her ear.I have another four yr old boxer that I can wash his ears and put meds in on my own. This girl is slim but man is she a strong one.Any ideas about how to handle the peeing and how to stop the peeing when playing with her or when someone new comes by.Appreciate any help I can get. Gloria Parker

Hi Gloria!, I know just what your going threw!! Since she is a year, and not potty trained it's going to be a little more difficult to house train her. But I do have a few tips that might help you. When you see her start to pee in the house, it's important to catch her in the act, say firmly No! not so much to scare her, but catch her attention. Go over and grab her collar, or pick her up. take her straight out. When she goes pee or poop outside, give her a treat. that way she knows there is a reward for going outside. This might help her better. I have a 17 week old boxer, and he tinkles when he gets excited, or nervous. Its normal for them to do that. They usually grow out of it. I recued a female dog once that went pee inside the house all the time! no matter how many times I took her out. It seemed like everytime I turned around I would find pee! it was afull and very stressful! I almost gave up! but I started using these awsome cleaning products, to get rid of the smell and she stopped doing it as often! I then found out that if you controll the odor it helps because they dont smell it, and where they smell the urine they will go again. And yes there is a way to save your floor and it doesnt cost much!! I recomend Borax, you can buy it just about anywhere. I buy it at wal mart and its about $3 a box. Its awsome! Just sprinkle it over the areas and leave it for a day or 2. Sweep it up. You will be amazed! Thats realy the two big things, reward her for going outside, then control the odor and I think she will be on the right track soon! I think its a great thing your doing for her! I hope this helped! Take care....
