Default Get out of our bed...

Ok when we first got Bella she would not sleep in her crate..so (my boo boo) she was small enough to be in bed with us. Well shes not so small anymore and now she holds her potty all night long..she needs to get out of our bed now..we are out of room. So how can I get her out of our bed and onto her big dog bed which is right beside our bed? I have tried so many times but she keeps putting her front paws up on the bed and lays her head on my arm and I was firm one night but dang I get tired...shes a big time mommys girl. She dont do it to me husband just me...SHe cant jump up onto the bed herself so its all about getting her to lay down beside our bed and sleep...any suggestions??

i would put her bed outside your door, and maybe put a baby gate up (instead of closing your door)

That way you get your space back and she can still see you.

You have to be consistant , that is the key to all training .

When she puts her paws on the bed give her a command ( off works well) and gently push her feet off the bed . Eventually when she is not allowed up on the bed she will stop trying to get on the bed .

You can also put her in a "down" on her bed after she is told "off " of your bed .

Be prepared to keep repeating this as she will not learn overnight . But as long as you are consistant and don't give in to letting her back on the bed she will start sleeping on the floor / her bed .

Well I have no advice because I have Georgie in my bed . She is getting big and is a bed hog. Plus she wants to lay right next to me and she is hot!

I used to sleep with 1 boxer and 1 lab . Not much room left for me & my husband . . Then when we got the second boxer they all had to move to the floor .

Yeah its so hard cause I started allowing it and now I have to stop it..as far as the bed hog..Bella def is a bed hog..she has to lay between my legs and by the middle of the night she is all spread out..and I cant move..Not to mention we have our 2 yr old son who sleeps with us and a damn chihuahua...so maybe I should be the one to move to the damn floor..hehe!!!
