If the bells don't work well you could also try a doggie doorbell do a google search. I'm sure you could also go to your local home improvement store and buy a regular wireless door chime as well may be a little cheaper then the doggie doorbell.

Retrain with these bells, as if he has never rung a bell in his life and only let him know he's getting it right if he gives a good loud ring.

I love that they come in all sorts of pretty colors too. I actually need to order a new one to match our new red and orange living room!
