Default potty training

I am getting very frustrated with my pup. I usually wake up everyday around 6:30a, I immediately go down stairs and put baby out. I go out with her and have my morning smoke and watch her go potty. She usually poops 2x and pees 2x. So I think it is safe to let her inside. Then I go upstair and wake up my kiddos. Baby follows. Within 5 minutes of letting her inside she pees again!!!!!! It makes me so mad, so I put her outside again. I don't know what I am doing wrong? Any suggestions?

Don't know that you are doing anything "wrong". She's young and you've only had her a few weeks so she's still learning your routines and what's expected of her. I would just continue to reinforce her training.

How old is your pup?? I found with Georgie what helped the most is taking her out and when she goes praise and give her a treat. At first I always went outside with her and told her to potty and when she did I would get real excited and tell her what a good girl she was and I would give her a couple of treats. Georgie is 8 months and still will have an accident once in a while. If she is peeing too much she could have a UTI.

I agree with everyone else. If she really is just going over and over, it couldn't hurt to have her tested for a UTI, they are common in puppies.

Other than that, lots and lots of time and patience.

I think I am getting so frustrated too because I am potty training my 2 year old daughter too! But baby is only 3 months, I know I just have to keep working with her. I will try the treats and see how that goes

When she potties outside make her think she just became a saint... it is THE BEST THING EVER. She gets food, cuddles, play, whatever she loves more than anything. Maybe a special treat (cooked chicken maybe?) ONLY for when she potties outside.

yep, get excited when she goes outside and ignore her when she does it inside (don't yell at her) and she'll figure it out quickly!

This one takes time lol. I really played on voice tones with this one, took her out and when she would squat I would "sing" toilet (our cue word) in a happy bright tone and when she was done I would make such a fuss saying "yay, goood toilet" waving hands around in an excited manner - I do believe my neighbour thought I'd gone mad, but our girl was house trained in no time , so good that last Christmas (she would have been around 3 1/2 - 4 months) we would leave her out in the house on the really hot days while we were at the beach and no accidents (mind you we knew her limits and didn't go past them so at three months no more than three hours etc). When she did have an accident it is a "non event" remove her from the area, don't scold her or even talk to her and clean it up without her watching .

Exactly! I know it seems frustrating now, we've all been through it. Although Nikita was potty trained fairly quickly (about 11wks)...i was taking her outside every time before and after crate, meals...basically every 20 mins. Everytime she peed, i praised her and treated. Memo took longer, and he actually just stopped having accidents in the house @ about 8mths old
