ok so like literally 10 min ago while my son is taking a nap Bo decided that it would be a good idea to rip up the carpet. he had a toy right next to him so i didnt notice that he was doing it. i heard somewhere that you could sprinkle a little red pepper on it and he would stop so i did, but i think he likes it!! i let him lick my finger which had some on it and he kept coming back wanting more. well i sprinkled some on there anyway. he is leaving it alone right now and playing with an actual toy, but does anyone know of a better thing to use just in case he decides he likes it.

When Buddy gets fixated on something in a destructive way, I usually just have to remove it for a period of time until he gets over it. But you can't do that with your carpet. I've also used Bitter Apple with some success, but basically if he's fixated, it's either distraction, removal, or correction.

Giving him a bully stick is often a good distraction. I just wish those things were cheaper! Even buying the Moo grade B ones are expensive. And if we don't get the odor free, people complain!

I would try the bitter apple also, or put something over that area or around that area so Bo can't get to it for now, like a box, a chair, something that would prevent him from getting to that spot.

i would put something there but it is right in a doorway it where one carpet stops and a different one starts,i am guessing that Brandon spilled something there and Bo can smell it.
