We used to use a Halti brand head halter on Keepers. It worked alright and would likely have been fine for a dog without any "issues". We had a problem with it when he got upset and tried to either run from or lunge at something. It came off his muzzle a few times and once came off all together. I'm sure a dog with a longer muzzle would not have had this problem. Hope this helps!

I've had trouble's with Tie escaping from the Halti as well. It didn't help any that he HATED wearing it

Come to think of it, that's actually why we gave up with it. He would stop every block or so and paw at it. I do think the head halters are a good idea but didn't work for us.
