Aww Sally he is such a good boy, I know you guys have put in so much time, energy and money into getting him to that point - you both deserve a good pat on the back. I'd love some pics of that handsome brindle boy

Thanks, AussieGirl. We just had a little Christmas get together among the residents that are still here. I couldn't believe how many people asked me about Buddy - apparently he's become a bit of a celebrity here. They've watched us out there working with him and the trainer, then teaching him how to run with the Seqway, and (still working on this one) teaching him to behave like a gentleman when their little children/grandchildren want to see him.

Now he's getting all grown up! Who could resist those brown eyes?

Aww look at his little face, so cute. Sally, I hear you about the attitude, that's how I find many people in London in relation to most things - parking spaces, queues at the bus stops or in the supermarkets, it's unusual to be met with any politeness. I do find it quite bizarre that people just assume they can walk through a private estate though, partciaularly as there are signs up..........I would never even think of doing that.

And yes Ron in relation to the chewing problem, I agree with the others - bully sticks or pizzles as we call them and a nice big recreational bone [femur, thigh or shin - weight bearing bones] for him to strip off any meat from the outside and clean out the marrowbone [careful though marrow is quite rich and can give them the squits if they get too much]. Honestly, rec bones keep both Ruby and Roddy busy sometimes for a good hour or more.

Ron, we just got Buddy a new chew toy this week and he's really nuts about it. It's so freakin' hard, I felt like I was giving him a piece of PVC tubing to chew on. Honestly, I thought he'd hate it. But he's been working on it every day and loves the little knobby things to focus his chew on. It's a Nylabone Dura Chew Plus Textured Ring Chew Toy

Another idea, I guess....
