Yep! The dog will learn that pulling makes you stop and will not get him where he wants to go any faster. You can also give small treats every few steps the dog walks properly without pulling. Training collars (prong, halti, gentle leader) can be helpful tools also, but must always be paired with some other sort of training to create long lasting results.
