I think the classes will be really good for him to learn how to behave around other dogs, THAT is his biggest issue, not the actual commands. the trainer's aid said he was 'a bit reactive'!

How's this going? I had to laugh when I read 'a bit reactive' Buddy is so excitable that it seems our friends don't even really know what he's like when they're not around.

I can't imagine him in a class with other dogs. I think he'd get asked to leave, like Stephanie's experience.

So I've been wondering how it's all going for him and if you are seeing any changes?

its going well, there are some really good things for us to work on! his stay, for one, which is usually good but hopefully we can get it 100% of the time! and 'look at me' is kind of interesting, because after a few seconds of looking he starts barking at you! and if we wait too long to give him a treat he just starts doing all of his tricks.....the little show off!
at the end of class we get to try jumping over stuff (like agility training intro..) which is really fun....maybe ron remembers more....

I miss training classes! We do rally/agility now but those first classes were the most fun and interesting.

just one a week! and we MISSED last night, when we were supposed to learn to meet other dogs - the MAIN reason we are GOING! i was disappointed but i am sure we will work on it next week!
