We are picking up a new brindle make in a few weeks and he will be welcomed home by a 2-year-od fawn male.

We are just wondering if any of you have any insight on how to handle the first few days as far as sleeping arrangments, feedings, etc. should be handled.

Thanks in advance.

Well when i adopted tie he was 3, but we (my brother) had a boxer already. We just let them meet outside. each of us held a dog until we were confident they were "ok" with eachother.

Just let your boxer meet the new pup slowly...in a crate if possible.

I would go to an SPCA ( or something similar) and take your pup. Let her meet some cats and let some cats meet her. My mom has two cats, one tolerates my two well. Her kitten will hide for days after my dogs come to visit.

That is a very very smart idea keeperboy. I will keep that in mind for next time
