My 16 month old female seems to have become very possessive of our backyard. When she is out in the yard and any one of us goes into the yard she gets very aggressive, barking, growling and jumping up on us, almost like attacking without biting! Very strange, this only happens in the backyard. Has anyone else seen this type of behaviour in their boxer?

More than likely she is playing . Boxers love to jump , growl and make noises like they are trying to eat you . But it all the typical style of boxer play .

It can be that she wants to play with you like this only outside and be more clam with you inside . My two play much more roughly outside than inside .

If you sense it is aggressive, and not just playing, then I would be sure to correct her and not let her dominate you. But if you can play with her for a few minutes and then she stops it, I wouldn't worry about it.
